To supporting race teams
Our lightweight and durable carbon fibre and Kevlar fairings ensure optimal aerodynamics for sidecars and include a few design changes to improve safety. Complete kits or just spare parts can be made
For rally teams, we have our own roof scoop and interior air vent kit, with manual ports for both driver and co driver. Custom made wings, intakes and other parts available upon request.
By concentrating our manufacture to carbon,Kevlar, aramid, nomex and other exotic material lists, we stay within the bounds set by the racers for weight. By incorporating different types of material, in different sandwich layers, our products end up being much lighter but much much more stiff and resilient.
Prepreg made in-house,
Prepreg carbon, Kevlar and nomex means much stronger and stiffer parts at a huge weight reduction,
Using fire retardant epoxy impregnation, the parts made by us not only carry a superior weight reduction, but are safer as well.
Mann Made Design is proud to sponsor Chris Schofield and the SSR Sidecar team.
We use high quality Twill carbon fibre, in various densities, plus Kevlar in both composite form (woven with carbon fibre) or plain. We also use Nomex, a specialist fire retardant material in areas which high heat can cause issues. Options for fire retardant epoxies can also be used.
Parts made are either epoxy resin infusion and vacuum bagged for large parts, or made from our own Prepreg material. We have Prepreg carbon, Kevlar, carbon/kevlar weave, multi axial, uni-axial and nomex.
Any parts we make for specific racers and outfits ARE NOT made available for any other customer. We know the value of a design a racer and team uses and it is both immoral and unethical to allow other racers access to confidential parts design.
We pride ourselves with holding true to this.
